How to Sell Network MarketingMichael with the success in selling that he accomplished most individuals would say that he was a natural and very calm giving presentations, but he felt the complete opposite.  He said he may have looked calm on the outside but on the inside it was a different story.

He said he would even at times have a hold of a chair leg holding it as tight as he could.  Is this something that resonates with you?  He accepted the traditional sales techniques as the truth of the way to get results and be successful as he didn’t know of any other way.

Michael is right about distributors are not listening to the potential partner of what there needs and wants are but are focused on the objections that they are going to bring up and figuring out how to crush them.  Does this sound familiar?

Michael even went to a successful sales manager and talked with him.  This individual told him that selling was like acting.  You learn your lines, keep doing it and practicing and you become a better actor and put on a better face which is not the real you.

Just as other distributors Michael would find himself finding other things to do other than the sales activities that he should be doing such as connecting with potential partners and doing follow up calls.

Michael talks about the 20/80 rule which is 20% of the people do 80% of the work.  He makes a great point what if 20% of the people make up 80% of the rules.  Rules that only work for 20% of the people.  What if you gave the other 80% the option of using a different approach to use?   An approach that could make them as successful as the other 20%.  Even if only 10% where successful what would do you think this would do for your business?  It would nearly double of course.Keys to Success

We are all different.  Not one way of doing things is going to help all of your down line be successful.  You need to work with your down line with what has worked for you but need to let them know that it worked for you but if doesn’t work for them then you will need to seek an alternative.

You need to make sure that you are giving 100% of the techniques that your up line has taught you before you look for an alternative way of doing things.  One thing so far is that this book resonates with Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring.

Occupy Wall Street or Occupy A Dream

Occupy Dreams or Occupy Wall Street

occupy dreams occupy wall streetOkay so what is Occupy Wall Street?  I have wondered and have heard the question from many individuals what is it that they are protesting?  What is it that they are wanting and their agenda?  Well this is what Wikipedia states what Occupy Wall Street is all about and how it started.

Directly from Wikipedi what is Occupy Wall Street…

The participants of the event are mainly protesting against social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government, among other concerns.  By October 9, similar demonstrations had been held or were ongoing in over 70 cities.

In mid-2011, the Canadian-based group Adbusters Media Foundation, best known for its advertisement-free anti-consumerist magazine called Adbusters, proposed a peaceful occupation of Wall Street to protest corporate influence on democracy, address a growing disparity in wealth, and the absence of legal repercussions behind the recent global financial crisis.

Perceptions vary as to the specific goals of the movement.  According to Adbusters, a primary protest organizer, the central demand of the protest is that President Obama “ordain a Presidential Commission tasked with ending the influence money has over our representatives in Washington”. Liberal commentator Michael Moore had suggested that this is not like any other protest but this protest represents a variety of demands with a common statement about government corruption and the excessive influence of big business and the wealthiest 1% of Americans on U.S. laws and policies

Peripheral demands such as raising taxes on the rich, raising taxes on corporations, ending corporate welfare, support for trade unionism, and protecting Medicare and Social Security in their traditional forms are expressed by some participants.  Other protesters are calling for an audit or elimination of the Federal Reserve, affordable healthcare, dismantling the military-industrial complex and to end all wars.

Despite the various lists of demands, some non-partisan groups and supporters of the protest have expressed concern that the proposed agenda items are not addressing some of the root causes. Political activist Lawrence Lessig argues that the problems on Wall Street have been caused by corruption in Washington that has been perpetuated by a deep conflict of interests. He further states that because both parties depend on Wall Street’s money to fund their campaigns, they will not dare to cross the interests of Wall Street.

So do agree with Occupy Wall Street?

Well I agree with some of their standings, but I feel that they are standing on the wrong street.  I don’t think Wall Street and the banks are the total cause of our economic issue’s.  The mess that we are in here in the United States and globally starts with our government policies.  A lot of politicians will come right out and say that the government is to blame, but then they will turn right around and take corporate money to fund their agenda.  And as we the people are just to blame, we continue to let government make policies that don’t serve the best interest of the American people.

Do I believe that the wealthy should pay the way for everything?  No.  I feel they should pay their share but we as true dreamers need to occupy our dream.  If your dream is to occupy wall street and protest more power to you.

Occupy a DREAM…

So am I against the Occupy Wall Street protesters?  Not at all.  If there is something that you firmly believe in deep down inside I feel you should go for it.  I do have to say I am curious how some of these individuals can spend months as some are say of not leaving.  One thing I have observed is with Occupy Wall Street and the other gatherings are the signs “We are the 99%.”  I don’t feel that you can be upset with individuals that are wealthy.  You have the choice to build your dreams, your interest, your thoughts,  freedom of speech, and I could go on and on.  But if you are angry at the other 1% I don’t agree with you.  You have had and still do to occupy a dream, don’t be stomping on others accomplishments and take action.

How to Sell Network Marketing Without Fear, Anxiety or Losing Your Friends by Michael Oliver

I will be reviewing this awesome book by Michael Oliver.  After 22 years of Michael being a professional in the selling industry he discovered there is a critical distinction between traditional selling and what he calls Natural Selling.

Michael learned the techniques and the manipulative strategies that were designed to make him successful.  Michael created a lot of success but he states that there were two problems.  The tension and the anxiety that came with it were at times suffocating.  Michael saw others being successful using these traditional techniques.Sell Network Marketing

Michael states that he felt there must be something wrong with him if he couldn’t accept these traditional selling techniques.

So what is the difference between the two?  Michael explains that traditional selling depends on techniques that persuade individuals to do what you want them to do while Natural Selling comes from the desire to help others and persuade themselves.

Michael says it’s a distinction once you understand and act upon you will eliminate the personal discomfort and lack of desire to talk with people about you business and the fear of rejection.

Here are some of the things this book will explore:

  • Why selling in the traditional style can cause tension for you and the person you are talking with.
  • Why traditional selling more often than not will cause you to be rejected.
  • How you can replace how you are communicating or how you think you have to communicate, with a different set of behaviors that will make a difference to help others.
  • More positive feedback and results from people as the consequence of changing form me approach to a you and I approach.
  •  A greater sense of personal fulfillment and inner calm and peace.

This gives you an overview of what is to come in this book.  Upcoming in Chapter 1 Believe Nothing:  Believe nothing merely because you have been told it.

I look forward to sharing this information with you in weeks to come.  If you enjoyed this post please leave your comment and share with your friends.
